Standard Skylights

 

Standard skylights come in the following ranges: 

 
Flat Glass skylight, Pyramid skylight or the Low Rise Barrel type skylight.

The standard skylight consists of a self-flashing aluminium frame which is designed to fit onto any type of roof.

The aluminium can be powder coated or anodized.

The flat glass and pyramid skylight is glazed with either 4mm toughened or 6.38mm laminated safety glass available in various shades from clear to bronze tints.

The low rise barrel type skylight is glazed with acrylic and is also available in various shades from clear to bronze tints.

Ventilation can be fitted on the base of the aluminium frame, either using a louver type of ventilation or trickle vent.

Our opening skylight is hinged and can be opened with a crank handle.

Flat glass skylights are suitable for pitched styled roofs, while pyramids and Low rise barrel skylights are suitable to flat roof or concrete up stands.

For hails belt areas, the 6.38mm laminated safety glass skylights are far more superior to the acrylic products, as the glass can withstand relatively larger stones (golf ball size) of hail to that of the acrylic products.

Roof Window

 

All roof windows are fitted with 4mm heat reflective toughened glass as standard.

The inner frames are constructed from quality dried Meranti and are pre-varnished prior to final assembly, ensuring an overall coating.

The frames are also available in aluminium.

The option of pre-painted white frames is available on order.

The roof windows have a unique patented hinge mechanism which rotates the sash through about 165 degrees to allow easy cleaning from inside the room.

Barrel type skylights are suitable for sizes bigger than standard products. The barrelvault skylight consists of a steel gutter or base system designed to fit onto any type of roof.

The glazing system is aluminium arch and clamp, which is leak proof, maintenance free and is fitted with extruded non-perishable rubber sealers which allow for thermal expansion and contraction of the glazing materials.

The glazing material is acrylic or polycarbonate, which is available in various shades from clear, opal or various bronze tints. The height of the barrelvault can be low-rise, mid-rise or semi-circular. Ventilation louvers system may be fixed or variable.

The Skytube is ideal for small areas, eg hallways, pantries, toilets, walk-in wardrobes, etc.

We have a 400mm in diameter which will light up an area of up to 18m².

The skytube consists of an acrylic dome top attached to a molded fibre glass flashing, suitable to your roof type.

The tube is made of a highly polished aluminium which is mirrored, giving a high density of reflected light, and the lens which is fitted onto the veiling is prismatic allowing for an even spread of light.

Electric light fitting can also be added into the tube for night times.

Segmented Dome

 

The segmented dome skyroof is suitable for circular openings in a concrete slab, or a built brick circular opening. 4mm Acrylic is used in various shades, from clear, tinted bronze or opal.

The glazing system is aluminium arch and clamp, which is leak proof, maintenance free and is fitted with extruded non•perishable rubber sealers which allow for thermal expansion and contraction of the glazing material.

The frame work is aluminium which can be powder coated or anodized.

The segmented dome sizes are custom built, ranging from 2m to 6m in diameter.

Sloped glazing can be butted against walls, roofs, etc. with or without gables between parapets. Any style or size can be catered for in various pitches.

Aluminium can be coated in most colours and the glass is mostly 6.38 mm laminated in clear, tinted or reflective variants.

Barrel canopy

The barrel canopy is glazed with 3mm acrylic, either clear, light or dark bronze and opal (white).

The frame is powder coated aluminium (white, bronze, black or natural anodized) with a gutter in front allowing for water runoff to either side of canopy.

The canopy can extend from the wall out to a maximum of 1.5m and can be up to 6m long with aluminium kick-bars, which are anchored into the wall.

Mono-pitch Canopy

The mono- is glazed with 6.38mm laminated safety glass, which can be either clear, light or dark tinted bronze.

The frame is powder coated aluminium (white, bronze, black or natural anodized) with a gutter in front allowing for water run-off to either side of the canopy.

The canopy can extend from the wall out to a maximum of 1.5m and can be up to 6m long with aluminium kick-backs, which are anchored into the wall.

Ridge Pyramid In Tile Roof Or On Concrete Upstand

 

Pyramid or ridge pyramid skylights are suitable for sizes bigger than standard products.

The Pyramid skylight consists of a self-flashing aluminium frame designed to fit onto any type of roof.

The aluminium frame can be powder coated or anodized.

The glazing is an arch and clamp system, fitted with rubber gaskets which allow for thermal expansion and contraction of the glazing material. 4mm Acrylic glazing, or 6.38mm laminated glass is used with the above system available in various shades.

A flush silicone glaze system is also available using a 6.38mm laminated glass with aluminium or steel powder-coated tubes.

The shape of the pyramid can be ridged or hipped.

Ventilation system may be permanent or variable.

Hipped pyramids have no gables and from 2m upwards they have aluminium bars segmenting the bays.

Pyramids can be square or rectangular. The aluminium can be coated in most colours and the 6.38mm glass is clear, tinted or reflective.
